Privacy policy

Last updated 31 October 2026

This policy explains what the Pet Tracker app and this website collect, why, who else handles it, and how you can delete it. "We" means the developer of Pet Tracker. Questions go to info@albrighton.dev.

The short version

What we collect

Things you add about your pets

Names, species, breeds, birthdays and photos; medications, doses and reminder times; vet visits, vaccinations and photos of paperwork; weights; meals and treats; and notes. Without an account, this stays on your phone. With an account, it's also stored on our servers so it can back up, sync between phones and be shared with your household.

Your account

If you sign in, we store your email address, which is used to send you a sign-in code. If you share a household, we also store the name you choose to show to the people in it, and which household you belong to. Dose and meal logs record who logged them, so others in the household can see "by Sam".

Ads

The app shows a small banner ad from Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, rough location, and how you interact with ads. On iPhone, the app asks for permission before using the advertising ID for tracking, and in the UK and EU it asks for your consent first. You can change your ad choices any time from "Ad privacy choices" in the app. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

Reminders

Medication, meal and vaccination reminders are scheduled on your phone. They aren't sent from our servers.

This website

This website doesn't use cookies or analytics. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security. When you open an invite link, the page looks up who sent it so it can show their name.

Who else handles it

These providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. We only share what's needed for them to provide their service, and we don't sell your information or share it for anything else.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and pets' details until you delete them. When you delete your account, your account and any household only you belong to are deleted. If others share your household, it passes to them, and logs you made stay with it but no longer show your name. Copies in our provider's backups are overwritten on a rolling basis.

Your choices and rights

Children

Pet Tracker isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit. On our servers, each household's data can only be read by its members, and a pet sitter's access ends automatically when their visit does.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. We'll tell you in the app before any big change.
